Job summary

Achievement Behavior Services (ABS) is hiring Behavior Technicians for in-home and community ABA therapy in New York. You will work 1:1 with a child, following a BCBA-created BIP to support communication, focus, and positive behaviors.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule, after-school hours, and potential weekend shifts. You will grow professionally with supervision from BCBA-level staff and opportunities to pursue RBT certification.

Qualifications

• Education in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology.
• Preferred: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
• Strong communication, reliability, and professional behavior.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with students and engage them in structured, goal-focused activities.
• Implement ABA strategies (DTT, prompting, modeling, reinforcement, redirection).
• Collect and document session data and progress notes accurately.
• Follow clinical guidance from supervising BCBA.
• Communicate consistently with families, supervisors, and team members.

About the Role

As a Behavior Technician (ABA Therapist), you will work 1:1 with a child in their home/community, following an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) created by a BCBA. You’ll directly support progress in communication, focus, and positive behaviors.

Daily Responsibilities

• Build rapport with students and engage them in structured, goal-focused activities
• Implement ABA strategies (discrete trial teaching, prompting, modeling, reinforcement, redirection)
• Collect and document session data and progress notes accurately
• Follow clinical guidance from your supervising BCBA
• Communicate consistently and respectfully with families, supervisors, and team members
