Job summary

KinderReady Behavior Solutions in Oceanside, Valley Center, Poway and Alpine seeks a compassionate Behavior Technician for after-school and evening hours. You will implement individualized interventions under supervision, collect data, foster independence in daily living skills, and collaborate with families and professionals to improve outcomes.

Part-time role with a supportive team, flexible scheduling, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Experience in special education, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
  • RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.
  • Collect and record data on client behavior to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Assist clients with daily living skills and promote independence.
  • Provide direct patient care while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to facilitate communication and enhance client outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral therapy.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team in Oceanside, Valley Center, Poway, and Alpine. This role is essential in providing support and implementing behavioral interventions for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. We’re looking for someone with the right skills and qualifications to join our team and help us thrive! Candidates must be fun-loving and passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.

Work hours are weekdays between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. We work with your availability to match you with a client in your area.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.
  • Collect and record data on client behavior to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Assist clients with daily living skills and promote independence.
  • Provide direct patient care while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to facilitate communication and enhance client outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral therapy.
Requirements
  • Experience or education in special education, behavioral health, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (or willing to be certified within 3 months)
  • Familiarity with data collection methods.
  • Passionate about working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care and support to clients.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required by state regulations.
