Position Description

The Behavior Technician conducts in-home Intensive Intervention Behavior Therapy Services to children with autism spectrum disorder or other diagnoses using Applied Behavior Analysis principles. They also staff clients in social skills group settings and receive comprehensive training, including earning the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. Existing RBTs are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• 15 hours per week (5 sessions), including at least 3 evening sessions (4-7 pm). Availability for 5 evenings preferred.
• Saturday availability for morning or mid-session shifts.
• This is a part-time role with potential for growth into full-time based on performance and need.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 behavior therapy sessions (~3 hours) using ABA principles.
• Implement Behavior Service Plan objectives, document data accurately.
• Participate in supervision and team meetings.
• Demonstrate competency post-training, show creativity, flexibility, and teamwork.
• Complete ongoing training, including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain honesty and integrity in all interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Provide current driving record annually.
• Pass background checks annually.
• Preferred experience: ABA procedures, working with children, discrete trial training, Pivotal Response training.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Comfortable with iPads/computers, internet access outside work.
• Maintain confidentiality of PHI.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, reliable transportation.
