Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our State College, PA program. The role involves delivering behavioral interventions, data collection, and collaboration with families and team members to support individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.

No experience required—paid training is provided. The position runs Monday through Friday during the school day, with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-6 months experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience with children with autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely ongoing data collection, including parent/staff correspondence and all required documentation.
• Provide behavioral interventions and physical interventions as needed. Interventions may include prompting, guided transport, or physical restraint as trained.
• Monitor client performance and record relevant data to assess progress.
• Accompany and assist client(s)/student(s) with activities and daily living including toileting and grooming.
• Collaborate with families and team for continuity of care.
• Implement and follow through with client/student behavior plans and reinforcement systems.
• Complete required trainings as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
