Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our program in East Freedom, PA. You will work one-on-one with students, following each child’s IEP and PBSP to support academic and behavioral goals in a trauma-informed setting.

No prior experience required—paid training is provided. Earn $18.50/hour, Monday–Friday during school-day hours, contributing to a compassionate, student-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Availability for 8:15 am–3:15 pm, Monday–Friday.
• 3–6 months of experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience working with children with autism is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely data collection and documentation.
• Provide behavioral interventions and, if trained, physical interventions as needed.
• Monitor client performance and record progress.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Collaborate with families and team for continuity of care.
• Implement client behavior plans and reinforcement systems.

No Experience Required- We Provide PAID Training.

Earn $ 18.50/hour. Monday – Friday Full School Day 8:30am – 3:15pm.

As a Behavior Technician you will work one on one in our school setting, where you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of autistic/emotional support students who are all unique and amazing! Following each child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP), you will help the student achieve their academic and behavioral goals. Your dedication and empathy will help our students learn in a trauma-informed environment. In this role, you will be part of a team where you can have fun and be an integral part of our students’ development.

• Complete timely ongoing data collection, including parent/staff correspondence and all required documentation.
• Provide behavioral interventions and physical interventions as needed. Physical interventions may range from simple prompting and/or guided transport up to, and including, physical restraint of client. Interventions vary based on program regulations and appropriate training is provided based on same.
• Monitor client performance and record relevant data to assess progress.
• Accompany and assist client(s)/student(s) with activities and daily living which may include assisting with toileting and grooming.
• Collaborate with families and team for continuity of care.
• Provide behavioral interventions and physical interventions as needed. Physical interventions may range from simple prompting and/or guided transport up to, and including, physical restraint of client. Interventions vary based on program regulations and appropriate training is provided based on same.
• Implement and follow through with client/student behavior plan as well as individualized reinforcement systems for individual client assigned.
• Complete required training(s)as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
