Job summary

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support individuals with developmental disabilities, primarily autism, through in-home and community ABA services. You will implement plans under BCBA supervision, collect data, and contribute to care coordination while maintaining patient confidentiality.

This role offers full-time or part-time options, with pay ranging from $19 to $26 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data on client behavior during sessions.
  • Assist in development and implementation of care plans.

Job Overview

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, by providing in-home and community based ABA services. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those you work with.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect data on client behavior during sessions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination
Skills
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
