Job summary

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism, through in-home and community ABA services. You will collect data, implement ABA strategies, and collaborate with the team to improve client outcomes.

This part-time, in-person role in Kansas requires 1 year of relevant experience and a High School diploma, with late-afternoon hours and travel being a norm.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Collect data on client behavior during sessions
• Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
• Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age
