Job summary

Magical Moments ABA in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for part‑time afternoon shifts. You will deliver one‑on‑one and small group ABA services under BCBA supervision, with a focus on compassionate family‑centered care.

You'll collect data, document progress, maintain HIPAA privacy, and collaborate with BCBAs, therapists, and caregivers to adapt treatment plans. This role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and ethical practice in daily activities.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of ABA experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of general ABA practices.
• At least 18+ years of age.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings, following the protocols outlined in the treatment plan created by BCBA.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using Central Reach.
• Maintain a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients and families.
• Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with other therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and other professionals for effective program implementation.
• Ability to take direction and feedback from the supervising staff (BCBA/BCaBA).
• Complete required training related to organization guidelines, compliance, state and federal regulations.
• Accurately record appointments in practice management software daily and comply with billing and payroll policiesAdhere to RBT ethics code and ensures all patient privacy policies, HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress and behavioral intervention findings.
• Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust therapy plans based on client progress and emerging needs.
