Job description

Immediate Openings in the Bronx, Queens, and in Brooklyn

Home-Based Programs for Children with Autism

Livanis Behavioral Consulting is currently hiring behavior technicians with immediate openings in the Queens area.

We are looking for individuals to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), ages 3 through 21, in their homes implementing Behavior Support Plans to teach new skills as well as reduce challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities include:
  • Implementing curricula developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) designed to increase functional life and academic skills.
  • Implementing behavior plans designed to decrease challenging behaviors as well as increase functional communication behaviors.
  • Collecting and recording behavioral data to monitor the child's progress.
  • Making learning fun for children with ASD.
  • Working together with parents to teach a variety of skills to children.
  • Working collaboratively with a therapy team.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At minimum, prospective candidates should be enrolled in a Baccalaureate degree program in psychology, social work, education, or a human service-related field.
  • Must have reliable transportation (preferred driving).
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and reliability.
  • Prior behavioral training (while not needed) is a plus.
  • Experience with children with special needs is a plus.
  • Proficiency or experience in other languages (while not needed) is a plus, especially: Greek, Mandarin, Cantonese, Albanian, Polish, and Spanish.

We offer competitive pay for part-time positions. All employees will be sponsored for Registered Behavioral Technician training and supervision. In addition, qualified candidates will be eligible (after a probationary period) for student loan repayment assistance. Furthermore, students who are enrolled in a BACB-approved and NYS LQ graduate program in behavior analysis will receive textbook reimbursement assistance. We also offer BACB supervision for candidates interested in pursuing their BCBA certification, as well as supervision leading to NYS Licensure in Behavior Analysis.
