Job summary

Chileda is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Technician to support children and their families across La Crosse County, including La Crosse, Onalaska, and Holmen. The role centers on teaching life skills and communication through BSP-based activities in home and community settings.

Hours are late afternoons to early evenings (3:30 PM - 7:00 PM), averaging about 12 hours per week. Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and able to work across multiple sites within the county.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and ability to travel between multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Support children with cognitive and behavioral goals using BSPs.
• Implement in-home and community-based services.
• Engage children in life skills, daily activities and social/communication practice.
• Coordinate visits across assigned county during afternoon/evening hours.

Your day to day as a Behavior Technician

Join us as a Behavior Technician and help us elevate the quality of life for children with cognitive and behavioral challenges. Our innovative Shine Community Services program focuses on a collaborative approach to provide in-home and community support to children and their families. In this exciting role, you'll work directly with kids, teaching essential life skills, daily activities, social interactions, and communication strategies.

As you implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSP), you'll play a crucial part in addressing problem behaviors and fostering skill acquisition tailored to each child's unique needs. Hours are flexible and vary throughout the week, Monday through Friday, late afternoons to early evenings (3:30 PM - 7:00 PM), working an average of 12 hours per week.
