Job summary

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our growing team in Massachusetts on a part-time, fee-for-service basis. The role implements behavior support plans and delivers ABA-based instruction under the direction of a supervising BCBA.

You will monitor client behavior, collect data, and share findings with the BCBA. Collaboration with families is essential to support meaningful changes in behavior.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, or families.
• Associates or higher in a related field with 12 months experience in similar settings.
• BACB Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification with 12 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provide ABA-based instruction.
• Monitor and data-collect client behavior and report data to supervising BCBA.
• Collaborate with supervising BCBA and client family to support meaningful behavior changes.

Education

High school diploma or GED + 24 months experience with developmental disabilities

Associate degree or higher in human/social/educational services or related field + 12 months experience

RBT Certification with 12 months experience

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our growing team! Part Time hours Fee For Service Position The Behavior Technician will be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or a GED and have 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth or families

• An associates degree or higher in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families

• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families

Other Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older per updated state of MA ABA program requirements
• Required availability after school, evening and late evening hours
• Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A compassionate approach to care

• Northeast Family Services offers high-quality supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following successful completion of fieldwork experience.
• Northeast Family Services encourages interested staff to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40 hour training, initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision, and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential.

Compensation
