Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in human, social, or educational services discipline, or related behavior management degree with 12 months experience.
  • RBT certification with 12 months experience working with the target population.

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician (Part Time, Fee For Service) to join our growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior.
  • Provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of supervising BCBA.
  • Monitor client behavior, collect data, and report data back to supervising BCBA.
  • Work collaboratively with supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED with 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families.
  • Associate degree or higher in human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution with 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) with 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families.
Other Requirements
  • Must be 21 years or older per updated state of MA ABA program requirements.
  • Required availability after school, evening and late evening hours.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A compassionate approach to care.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
  • Access to a laptop or CPS, high-speed secure internet, and a phone required.
ABA Benefits
  • High-quality supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following successful completion of fieldwork experience.
  • Encourages interested staff to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40-hour training, initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision, and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential.

Compensation
