Clarvida is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to conduct functional behavioral assessments, develop and monitor behavior support plans, and train staff and families in positive behavior strategies across Berks and Lehigh County settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, data-driven planning, and compliance with regulatory standards for community-based services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Services or a closely related field; or Bachelor’s Degree under supervision of a Master’s Level Clinician
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with a good driving record
• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite and ability to learn HCSIS, PROMISe, and Avatar EHR
• Experience in behavioral assessment, behavior planning, and data collection
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Completes functional assessments and develops strategies to support individuals experiencing behavioral difficulties
• Develops, implements, and reviews Behavior Support Plans and Restrictive Procedures Plans using positive practices
• Ensures training is provided to staff, family members, and participants on behavior support plan implementation
• Collects, monitors, and evaluates behavioral data to assess progress and outcomes
• Observes individuals in various settings to inform behavior support plan development
• Collaborates with participants, families, and team members to create effective, non-restrictive support strategies
• Completes documentation including data collection, progress reports, and annual planning materials in compliance with regulations
• Assists with internal and external audits and follows up on audit requirements
