Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is a premier provider of education services for K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs.

As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will collaborate with school staff to deliver customized behavior support and positive behavioral interventions within a multidisciplinary team. You will implement PBIS strategies, develop Behavior Support Plans, monitor progress, and engage with families while upholding SESI's commitment to safety, equity, and student

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• Behavior Specialist License required.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Provide monitoring and support throughout the school site.
• Create and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and Skill Acquisition Programs.
• Record and report behavioral incidents and progress quarterly.
• Use PBIS strategies and school incentives.
• De-escalation, crisis management, and safety protocols as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in debriefings with staff after challenging situations.
• Communicate with parents.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and related assessments.
• Attend IEP Meetings.
• Provide supervision and ongoing professional development to behavior technicians.
