Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral science or human services field is required.
• At least 1 year of direct experience with ID/ASD or similar populations.
• Must maintain professional liability insurance.
• Meet state guidelines for independent functioning as a behavior support specialist.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and ability to travel to homes and community settings.
• Must pass background checks and drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans (POC).
• Provide evidence-based, individualized interventions for community living and behavior reduction.
• Analyze data, generate reports and monthly summaries; update plans as needed.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner (e.g., assessments, behavior plans).
• Maintain certifications (CPR, First Aid, TB screenings) and adhere to policies.
