Job summary

Beacon seeks a Behavior Specialist to develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) under supervision. You will train staff, monitor progress, and adjust plans with input from the care team. The role involves data analysis, crisis management support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff.

Typical hours are full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule; you may respond to incidents and participate in team meetings while ensuring documentation and compliance across programs.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field; Master's preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years' experience with mentally ill and intellectually disabled adults.
Experience with behavioral observations and interventions for complex, high-frequency behaviors.
Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English; valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) under supervisor guidance.
Update BSP based on progress and input from the team and stakeholders.
Train staff to implement BSP and intervene during challenging behavior.
Participate in monthly clinical/behavioral consultation meetings.
Monitor data, analyze progress, and adjust intervention plans accordingly.
