Merakey is hiring a Behavior Support Professional in the United States to develop and implement Behavior Support Plans under supervision, support individuals with behavioral challenges, and train teams on BSP implementation.

The role emphasizes writing and editing plans that incorporate Positive Behavior Supports, strong verbal communication, and collaboration with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience with developing and implementing Behavior Support Plans under supervision of a Master's Degree holder
• Demonstrated ability to support individuals with behavioral challenges
• Demonstrated ability to write and edit plans that incorporate Positive Behavior Supports
• Competency in writing supports plans and effective verbal communication skills
• Capacity to train and mentor others
• Ability to perform duties with limited supervision
• Experience working with adults with IDD and with mental health diagnosis or autism

Responsibilities

• Completes observations in various settings and conducts comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).
• Collaborates with the person, their family and team in the development and maintenance of a behavior support plan.
• Trains and mentors the person's support team on how to implement plans.
• Completes documentation including data collection, progress reporting, development and revision of a BSP.
• Provides timely documentation per policy, including data collection, progress reporting, development and revision of the BSP.
