Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a para-professional to provide behavioral support at Kimberly Lane Elementary School in Utah. The role includes one-on-one and small-group support for students, and supervision during lunch and recess to reinforce expected behaviors.

The candidate should have a High School diploma with optional two-year post-secondary training, be flexible across settings, handle lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintain student confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required. Highly Qualified Status Required. Preference for two-year post-secondary training.
• Must be flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings with a variety of students and staff
• May need to lift, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must maintain data privacy and confidentiality for all students
• Computer skills preferred
• Experience working with young children, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to take direction
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Calm demeanor in high pressure situations
• Experience teaching behavior expectations and supporting students with challenging behavior, preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral support during the school day in classrooms, lunch, and recess supervision.
• Work one-on-one with individual students to teach and reinforce expected behaviors.
• Support small groups of students needing social-emotional/behavior support.
• Actively supervise students in the cafeteria and on the playground.
