Behavior Support Assistant / Classroom Support – Early Intervention

Position Type: Full-time

Easterseals of southeastern Pennsylvania is a leading nonprofit provider of disability services. We primarily serve children from birth to 8 years with a variety of disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida and physical and developmental delays. Our services include an approved private school, special classrooms, summer programs, assistive technology, early intervention programs and various outpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy programs. Responsibilities

• Implement strategies outlined in Positive Behavior Support Plans, including direct instruction based on principles of Positive Behavior Supports.
• Work under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS); may support one student at a time or assist a classroom teacher.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related field required.
• Experience working with children with special needs and/or challenging behavior preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation required for possible travel to additional school sites.
