Job summary

Katy ISD YOUNGBLOOD ELEMENTARY in Katy, TX seeks an Aide - Behavior Support to assist campus admin, teachers and staff with behavioral support and supervision of ISS students. The role requires CPI certification preference and a Paraprofessional Aide certificate upon employment, with strong communication and confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, collecting data, supporting instruction under supervision, and maintaining a disciplined, safe learning

Qualifications

• College hours: 48 for Title I campus or 464 on ParaPro test.
• High school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus.
• Ability to work with and communicate with children.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
• Paraprofessional Aide certificate required once employed.
• Valid CPI certification preferred (can be obtained after employment).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to federal, state and local policies and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out a behavioral program for students.
• Assist administrators with modeling and coaching for students with behavioral challenges.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining the student behavior data.
• Provide instruction to students under the supervision of administrators.
• Provide behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of administrators.
• Supervise students’ work and administer tests or tutoring as needed.
• Maintain discipline and confidential handling of ISS related information.
