Job summary

The role requires a master’s in psychology (or a related bachelor’s with extensive ABA experience), strong teaching and communication skills, and a Connecticut driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology with at least 1 year of experience or Bachelor's with at least 3 years in developmental disabilities and ABA proficiency.
  • Willingness to respond to behavioral emergencies as needed.
  • Clear writing and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Commitment to community-based services and client-centered care.
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behavioral support plans and skill teaching strategies based on referrals and supervision.
  • Monitor and update programs regularly or as requested.
  • Coordinate behavioral interventions with referral sources for new placements.
  • Provide client-specific training to Residential Programs and CRI Group Home staff.
  • Deliver in-service training to newly hired staff and develop curriculum.
  • Document consumer’s behavioral training for files.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through training and literature review.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Consulting Psychologist.
