Job summary

AB Staffing Solutions is seeking a Behavior Specialist in Akron, Ohio for the 2026/2027 school year. This role involves working with students across Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, conducting behavioral assessments, and implementing individualized behavior plans.

The position is contracted for 8 hours per week, following the academic district calendar. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, valid LPC or LSW license, and Ohio licensure.

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Behavior Specialist for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.

Job Description

Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School. Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location. Contract through the 2026/2027 school year – 8 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (master’s preferred)
• Valid license as a LPC or LSW
• Valid Ohio licensure
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Physical ability: frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds

Essential Functions

• Conduct behavioral assessments

• Maintain documentation and reports

Pay

$408 – $432 per week
