The purpose of this job is to assist the school administration and staff in implementing research-based interventions to decrease inappropriate student behaviors and increase academic achievement.
East Hamilton Middle is a 6-8 School located in Ooltewah, TN, just outside of Chattanooga. Our school offers teachers a family-like atmosphere with a collaborative spirit and support for every member of our faculty. We are looking for teachers who are committed to excellence and who are passionate about their subjects and teaching. Four-year college degree preferred. Trained in at least one research-based strategy for classroom management and/or student behavior such as conflict resolution or peer mediation preferred. Two (2) years of successful experience working in an urban school preferred. Or, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must attend CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training or other training if required by school administrators.
Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience.
