Job summary

Bryan County Schools is accepting applications for an Exceptional Student Services Behavior Specialist. This role supports students with disabilities under IDEA and GCIMP, leading behavior interventions district-wide.

The candidate will supervise and train staff, design behavioral programs, and collaborate with internal and external partners to promote positive behavior support. Travel within the district is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum Bachelor degree; Masters preferred.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate and driver's license required.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in special education or related field.
• Specific training and expertise in the area of behavior intervention.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills.
• Proficiency with computer technology.

Responsibilities

• On-site supervision and training of staff in intervention techniques; design and implements behavioral treatment programs; data collection and evaluation of student behaviors.
• Collaborates with school-based staff to determine appropriate services; recommends adjustments to learning environment, adapting curricula or accommodations.
• Liaises with local/state agencies and other schools to enhance learning for students.
• Regular monitoring and reporting of assigned areas to support district cohesion, success and compliance.
