Job summary

Hope Human Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Behavior Intervention Specialist to work in our Washington state-based AIM program. You will deliver evidence-based services to individuals with Autism in Supported Living, helping to implement person-driven goals and skill development.

The role requires data collection, team collaboration, and training staff on plan implementation. Travel to multiple locations and flexible hours may be required; high school diploma with experience in behavioral

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with Autism.
  • At least 1 year as a Behavioral Specialist/RBT or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel to multiple program locations and work evenings/weekends as needed.

  • Work directly with clients to achieve targeted goals using evidence-based practices.
  • Collect and review data; participate in collaboration meetings.
  • Train supports and implement plans; coordinate with care teams.

The Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) participates as a member of the Autism Intensive Model (AIM) team within Supported Living for Hope Human Services clients. This position focuses on delivering evidence-based practice driven services to clients in Supported Living, and have an Autism diagnosis. Clients within the AIM program may have a significant deficit in communication and interaction, and/or repeated behaviors or interests, that impact their quality of life. AIM program works directly with the client and their care team to implement a person-driven treatment plan and training goals, contriving opportunities to focus on client skill-development.

Job Responsibilities
  • Working directly with clients on targeted goals and skill-development using evidence-based practices
  • Accurately collecting/reviewing data and participating in collaboration meetings
  • Responsible for the implementation and training of supports
  • Works collaboratively with all other disciplines to ensure all needs are met for the individuals
  • Consult and assist with implementation of communication alternatives, adaptive equipment, daily routines, and activity schedules as needed

Provide training to Supported Living staff as related to the plan and implementation of services

Attend weekly clinical meetings with the AIM team

Meeting Documentation
  • Ensure that all documentation is in place and accurate prior to the meeting
  • Ensure that all needed “to-dos” are completed prior to the meeting
Position Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have experience with individuals with Autism
  • Have one year experience as a qualified Behavioral Specialist/RBT
  • Must be able to travel to various program locations and work flexible hours which can include evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the individuals we support
  • Proof of vehicle insurance and an acceptable driving record
  • Able to pass federal and state background checks and maintain clearance during employment
  • Ability to interface with multiple data collection systems (e.g. Therap, Microsoft Forms, Google suite, etc.)
