South Texas Health System seeks a Mental Health Technician – Tier I to deliver direct care, monitoring, and advocacy for behavioral health clients while supporting staff and maintaining a safe, therapeutic unit environment.
The role requires effective communication, compassion, and willingness to cross-train to other areas. A high school diploma is required, CPI certification within 90 days, and current BLS on hire or soon after.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mental Health Technician – Tier I provides direct care, monitoring, assistance, and advocacy for behavioral health clients and support to professional staff by performing a wide variety of duties. Performs other duties as assigned.
