South Texas Health System is seeking a Mental Health Technician - Tier I to provide direct care, monitoring, and advocacy for behavioral health clients, and to support clinical staff with a wide range of duties.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, obtain CPI certification within 90 days of orientation, and maintain current BLS. Excellent written and verbal communication, compassion, and willingness to cross-train are essential.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Mental Health Technician - Tier I provides direct care, monitoring, assistance, and advocacy for behavioral health clients and support to professional staff by performing a wide variety of duties. Performs other duties as assigned.
