Job summary

Insight Hospital and Medical Center- Chicago is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee the nursing unit(s) workflow and staffing, ensuring high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, staff development, and budget adherence in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualified candidates hold an Illinois RN license, a nursing diploma, and have 3+ years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in leadership or management.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing prior to hire date or job transfer date is required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership or management experience is required.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of IL.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
• Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Monitor and adhere to budget.
• Approve or monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
• 24H accountability 7 days per week with rotating weekend coverage with other managers.
• Primarily day shift hours with touch base with associates on all shifts.
• Typically holidays are off unless unit needs take precedence for patient and staff safety.
