Job summary

Capital Area Head Start is seeking a full-time Behavior Guidance Specialist to join our team. The role focuses on developing and implementing behavioral interventions and providing classroom support based on child behavior observations, promoting positive classroom guidance and social-emotional development for preschool children.

You will educate and guide families and colleagues, maintain high-quality behavioral services, and work standard school-year hours (7:30AM–4:30PM) in Dauphin,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in early childhood education, special education, psychology or related field.
• Minimum of one year teaching or classroom experience with preschoolers; or related experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing challenging behaviors; knowledge of social and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement behavioral interventions and provide classroom support based on observations.
