A children's support center in Erie County is seeking a full-time assistant to support students with tutoring. The ideal candidate will maintain a therapeutic environment and assist in crisis situations. A relevant bachelor's degree and excellent communication skills are preferred. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, and a $500 new hire bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to obtain clean FBI, PA Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances.
• Previous substitute or tutoring experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist students one on one and in small group tutorials
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic classroom environment through various classroom management techniques
• Assist with program record keeping including point cards, grading, and other required documentation
• De-escalate students in crisis using Safe Crisis Management techniques

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• Full-time
• School year schedule

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid PA Driver's License or PA I.D. and Reliable Transportation
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education or related field preferred
• Must be able to obtain clean FBI, PA Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Entry Rate
