The Shala Method is seeking a Coach to provide one-on-one coaching over a six-month arc, guiding participants through pattern awareness, nervous system regulation, and identity-based change. This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid per participant.
You will deliver about eleven sessions per participant, set your own schedule within delivery windows, and collaborate with nutrition and exercise professionals in a structured curriculum.
The Shala Method is a behavior change and identity-transformation approach for people ready to build durable change rather than another short-term fix. Our first program, The Shala Method: Beyond Rapid Weight Loss, supports women ages 40 to 55 who have experienced significant rapid weight loss, including through GLP-1 medications, and who want to move from fear of regain and rule-driven eating toward self-trust, steady behavior patterns, and lasting stability.

Beyond Rapid Weight Loss is a six-month program delivered fully online. It is a coaching and education program, not a clinical care program. Participants move through four stages of work: Awareness and Pattern Recognition, Rewiring and Regulation, Integration and Aligned Action, and Identity Stabilization. Prerecorded lessons teach the material, homework turns it into personal application, and one-on-one coaching deepens what the homework surfaces. The program runs in two versions: a coach-led version and a higher-support version that adds nutrition and exercise experts. Coaches work across both.
The Coach is the primary relationship-based support inside the program. You help participants apply the lessons, complete their homework, understand what their patterns reveal, and integrate new defaults into real life without turning the work into another performance project. This is a coaching role, not a clinical one. The educational lessons are prerecorded, so your focus is coaching rather than building curriculum. The Coach does not provide medical advice, nutrition or exercise prescriptions, lab interpretation, supplement protocols, diagnosis, or treatment.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, paid per participant based on delivery. Participants join on a rolling basis, and you decide how many you take on. We hold regular volume check-ins, and it is your responsibility to let us know when you have reached your capacity so we can route new participants accordingly. For each participant you serve the full six-month engagement:
You set your own schedule within the program's delivery windows and hold your participant sessions directly.
$700 to $900 per participant for the full six-month engagement, based on experience, paid in installments tied to delivery milestones across the engagement. This is a 1099 contract role; contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance.
The Coach does not diagnose, treat, or manage medical conditions; interpret labs; prescribe nutrition, calories, macros, supplements, medications, or exercise; provide medical nutrition therapy; or act as a dietitian, trainer, therapist, or physician. The Coach does not promise weight, body composition, or health outcomes, and does not encourage restriction, over-exercise, or compensatory behavior. Participants are directed to their own licensed providers for medical, medication, lab, supplement, diagnosis, or treatment questions.
