Cardinal Pediatric Therapies in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Behavior Analyst Trainee (BAT)/RBT to work one-on-one with children, supporting data collection and implementing individualized plans designed by a BCBA. You will accrue supervised fieldwork hours toward BCBA certification while collaborating with families and the clinical team in a hands-on setting.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification or eligibility with willingness to obtain within timeframe.
• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in a related field.
• Enrollment or acceptance into a BACB-recognized master’s program.
• Compassion, patience, and genuine enthusiasm for helping children.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass a background and abuse registry check.
• Reliable transportation; Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior plans designed by a BCBA.
• Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors for accurate tracking.
• Support skill development in communication, social interaction, and daily living.
• Adhere to RBT ethics and BACB code of conduct during sessions.
• Collaborate with families and team members for consistent support.
• Ensure a safe, supportive environment during sessions and follow protocols.
• Accrue supervised fieldwork hours with mentorship tailored to goals.
• Maintain RBT credential in good standing and track supervised hours.
