Employment Terms

10 month (196 days) Contract

Generally - 7 Hour 20 Minute Day, Exclusive of a 30 Minute Duty Free Lunch

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Annually by Director of Intervention and Support Services

Regular Requirements: Stand for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend at the waist; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 100 pounds; handle objects and tools with hands and operate equipment; repetitive use of fingers and hands to operate equipment

Occasional Requirements: Ability to administer CPR and First Aid

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Conducts functional behavior assessments and develops behavior intervention plans in accordance with local and state policies and procedures, federal regulations
  2. Implements behavior techniques with students who have needs for behavior support at any site.
  3. Assists site principals and teachers with behavior modification interventions.
  4. Assists site intervention Teams in designing appropriate interventions for students referred with behavioral deficiencies.
  5. Provides ideas and support with the development and implementation of student behavior plans and provides training and coaching as appropriate.
  6. Monitors progress of student behavior plans goals.
  7. Complies with all Individualized Education Plans.
  8. Carries an IEP caseload and provides services as needed if employee has credentials. (not required)
  9. Uses formative and summative data to guide instruction and monitor progress
  10. Monitors student progress toward IEP goals.
  11. Monitors student behavior in areas outside of the classroom, during lunch, recess, bus time, general education classes, and school assemblies.
  12. Prepares and timely submits all required reports and evaluations for each assigned student.
  13. Completes all required special education paperwork in a timely manner to meet compliance deadlines if caseload is carried.
  14. Attends and participates in all required meetings and conferences, including professional development and planning meetings.
  15. Maintains complete and accurate student records, including attendance, performance and discipline records.
  16. Provides professional and regular feedback to students, staff and parents, ensuring compliance with all laws and district policies and procedures.
  17. Regularly participates in appropriate professional development opportunities, including behavior modification training/education.
  18. Complies with all federal, state and local laws, and board policies and procedures.
  19. Utilizes professional behavior in all school-related interactions.
  20. Maintains contact with parents and/or students via phone or written communications.
  21. Performs all other tasks as supervisor may assign.
Salary

Salary: $71,585 Per Year
