The BEAR Center at Northern Michigan University invites applications for the position of Behavior Analyst. Our BCBA's support clinical operations and provide comprehensive behavior analytic services for clients of the BEAR Center programs including case oversight, assessment, behavior support programming, as well as supervision of behavior analytic staff and trainees. This position also supports the implementation of research protocols as related to the delivery of ABA services.
The Behavior Education Assessment and Research (BEAR) Center is a university-based clinic and research facility overseen by the Department of Psychological Sciences. The BEAR Center is the Department's primary practicum site for graduates and undergraduate students seeking experience in Applied Behavior Analysis. The BEAR Center provides scientifically supported behavioral and learning programs for our community members, including children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and those with difficult to manage behaviors.
Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, with hours ranging between 8:30 am and 7:00 pm depending on client availability. Some evening and weekend work required.
Required Education: Master\'s Degree
Discipline/Degree Area: Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or closely related field
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Required Minimum Work Experience:
One year of experience working with children and families with autism and related disabilities, supervising BACB certificants and behavior technicians, performing language acquisition assessments, functional behavior assessments, and developing behavior support plans.
Experience prior to receiving the BCBA will be considered.
