Job summary

LEARN LA is seeking a Before School Program Coordinator to oversee the Before School Expanded Learning program at elementary and middle schools in El Monte, CA. The role runs before school hours from 6:30-8:00am, with activities including tutoring, enrichment, life skills, and recreation to support student success.

You will train and evaluate staff, supervise Youth Leaders, coordinate with school staff and families, and ensure program compliance with California/Federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or four years of youth experience in education.
• Ability to pass a district examination for instructional assistants.
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day programming at LEARN partner schools.
• Plan and coordinate programming with input from school staff and advisory board.
• Supervise Youth Leaders and monitor performance and attendance.
• Maintain participant records and assist with reporting tasks.
