Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with elementary school children (Grades K–3) in education, childcare, or recreation preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coordinators, leadership, and student helpers.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and child-management skills.
• Positive attitude, patience, problem-solving, and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Actively care for, supervise, and monitor student safety in the Before School Program from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., ensuring school rules are followed.
• Assist the Coordinator in organizing and facilitating safe, engaging activities.
• Help supervise student helpers to ensure safe interactions with elementary students.
• Maintain continuous visual supervision and monitor all program zones.
• Promote character virtues and report injuries or safety concerns to the Coordinator.
• Escort students into the Elementary School building at 8:25 a.m.
• Assist with morning opening operations and arrival logistics.
• Support the breakfast program, including setup, supervision, and guiding student flow until 10:00 a.m.
• Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional communication with families and staff.
• Perform other duties to support morning operations and food service.
