Job summary

The Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School is seeking a part-time Morning Program Support Assistant to help supervise students in Grades K–3 before school and during the morning opening and breakfast operations.

You will work 7:00–8:30 a.m. and 8:25–10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, during the official school year, collaborating with the Before School Care Coordinator and Elementary School Principal to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with elementary school children in educational, childcare, or recreational settings preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team with coordinators and leadership.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and child-management skills.
• Positive attitude, patience, problem-solving, and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise students in the Before School Care Program (7:00–8:30 a.m.).
• Assist with planning and facilitating safe activities and routines.
• Supervise student helpers to ensure safe interactions with elementary students.
• Maintain continuous supervision and report safety concerns to the Coordinator.
• Support morning opening operations and breakfast logistics until 10:00 a.m.
