Brief Description

Qualified applicants must have a clean driving record and a current RI Chauffeurs license (or be eligible to obtain) prior to employment. This position requires obtaining a chauffeur's license in RI. Visit this link for requirements. The role is part-time, generally between 7:30am to 9am and 2pm to 5pm, at various locations including Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich, and North Kingston.

Position summary

Transport children in a YMCA vehicle to and from the YMCA, providing supervision and ensuring safety and well-being.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Check children on and off the van, supervise at all times, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assist children with boarding and exiting, ensuring seat belts are worn.
• Maintain vehicle safety checks, cleanliness, and report issues.
• Coordinate with school personnel and work cooperatively with staff and volunteers.
• Adhere to safety, traffic laws, and YMCA procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred. Certifications include CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and a valid chauffeur’s license or MA 7D certificate. Maintain all certifications timely.
