Responsibilities

As Parts Authority continues to navigate through the Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our team members remains our priority. We strictly adhere to CDC recommendations and guidelines to provide a safe environment.

The Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and schedules. You should be thorough in fulfilling orders, passionate about customer satisfaction, and committed to safety.

To succeed as a Delivery Driver, you should be polite, prompt, willing to work as part of a team, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow directions from dispatchers, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and utilize local knowledge for timely deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading without interfering with operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints professionally.
• Follow all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports, and reconcile transactions related to deliveries.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and report issues.
• Assist with store/warehouse duties as needed.
• Maintain workplace safety and security of assets.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21+)
• Valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and sit for prolonged periods

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Manage and reconcile customer transactions and account balances
• Use tablets or mobile devices for navigation, tracking, and customer signatures
• Exceptional communication skills, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy
• Ability to follow directions and work well with others
• Flexible schedule with overtime availability preferred
• Previous delivery experience is a plus
