Job Details

Job Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $15.49 - $16.00 per hour

Responsibilities

1. Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to NJ guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school.
2. Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Don't forget about homework — you'll be the homework hero!
3. Be a Role Model: Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment where kids can thrive. Be the role model they'll look up to every day.
4. Managing Tasks: Assist the Site Director with management tasks, including maintaining attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels. You will be the designated person in charge when the Site Director is not on site.
5. Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and family members through the Playground App.
6. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the Site Director, ensuring they are informed of daily activities and issues, fostering a positive team environment.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree in Child Development or Child Development Certificate.
• OR six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Medical fitness to perform all job duties, free of communicable diseases including TB.
• Warm, friendly, upbeat personality with excellent people skills.
• Professional, reliable, prompt.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities necessary for energetic children.
