About Children Of America (COA)

Our Assistant School Directors are responsible for carrying out the daily tasks and duties of management, including leading a staff of talented educators and executing our educational programming for all programs, from Infant care through School Age. You will work directly under a School Director, leading teachers and support staff in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and passion for early childhood education. Our Programs

We serve preschool children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp.

Who Would I Interact With?

This position interacts daily with parents, the School Director, teaching staff, support staff, operations personnel, facilities, custodial teams, and regional support teams.

Minimum Requirements
  • Associates Degree
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a childcare facility or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of early childhood education
  • Flexibility in challenging situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in technology, including MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must meet state requirements
