Job summary

YMCA of Northwest Florida is seeking an After School Mentor to work in our After School Program in Pensacola. This position runs Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ideal candidates will enjoy playing with children and supporting their development through activities.

As a mentor, responsibilities include leading recreational games and assisting youth with homework. Must be over 18 and have a valid Florida driver's license, with the ability to pass background checks.

• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Able to pass a level 2 background screening.

Job description

The Northeast YMCA is looking to fill positions in our After School Program! Get paid to play and have fun! If you love working with children and are available to work M-F 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., we would like to hear from you! As an after school mentor, you will have an opportunity to work with youth in grades K-8th. Must be over the age of 18, have a valid Florida driver's license, able to pass a level 2 background screening https://info.flclearinghouse.com, and DOT physical (NE site only).

The YMCA provides its team members with a stream of development opportunities, starting with your First Aid/CPR Training and Certification. Northeast Y Staff meet monthly for paid trainings and development sessions. Further development will be offered depending on the assigned site.

Daily job duties include leading youth in recreational games, S.T.E.A.M., and creative activities as well as homework assistance.
