After School CounselorJob Title: After School Counselor FLSA Status: Non-ExemptJob Code: 903 Job Grade: Level 1Reports to: Program Director Revision Date: April 10th, 2026POSITION SUMMARY:Provides direct supervision of a group of children in an after-school camp. Provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Supervises a group of children. Picks up children from school daily via 15 passenger van.Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.Maintains proper maintenance on vehicles; such as, fueling, cleaning and regular maintenance upkeep.Attends staff meetings and trainings.Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to: medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff.
