Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Child Care Staff in Rhode Island to support supervision and classroom management under the Director’s guidance. You will help implement curriculum, maintain safety and cleanliness, and interact with children in a caring, developmentally appropriate manner.

The role requires a minimum of 18 years old, a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid within 6 months, and DHS paperwork completion. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY:This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibilities. Under the direction of the Director, the Child Care Staff will be responsible for assisting in overall supervision and classroom management using the specific goals, objectives and curriculum for a group of children.
