Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Childcare Program Director for our Before and After School Pre‑K Programs at our Elsinboro Township School location for the 2026–2027 school year.

This Part-Time, Non-Exempt role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts. You will lead program quality, staffing, and family engagement while supporting children's growth through play and learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience working with children in school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting.
• 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee before- and after-school programs to ensure safe, engaging activities.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and compliance with licensing requirements.
• Foster strong relationships with families and school partners.
• Ensure program quality, safety, and readiness for inspections.

PAY: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 - 9:00 am

Afternoon Program: 2:45 - 5:45 pm

• Staffing: The site is fully staffed every day; teachers are prepared, supported, and showing up for the kids
• Compliance: The site operates in ratio at all times; records are accurate and current; the program is ready for inspection on any given day
• Inventory: The site is well‑stocked with the supplies and materials teachers need; nothing runs out mid‑week; restocking happens before it becomes a problem

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
• 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience
• Familiarity with before‑and‑after‑school program environments a plus
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school‑age care regulations helpful but not required
• Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast‑paced environment.
• Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.
