Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Arthur S. May School in Poughkeepsie, NY for the 2026-2027 school year.

This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar and offers morning and/or afternoon shifts. You will supervise activities, model positive behavior, and support homework and wrap-up routines while maintaining safety and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
