Job summary

Samena Swim & Recreation Club in Bellevue is seeking a part-time Youth Programs staff member for weekdays with shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, and special events. You will lead activities for kids, supervise swim time, and help run camp programs.

The role requires 21+ years old, childcare experience, a valid driver’s license, and background checks. Wages are variable, with benefits like discounts and professional development offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in childcare.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License.
• 5-year clean driving record.
• Ability to pass portable background check.
• CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certification.
• Proof of MMR vaccine or immunity.
• Washington State Food Handler’s Permit.
• 30 Hours STARS/Child Care Basics training certification.
• 10 hours STARS professional development certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist daily activities for youth, including indoor/outdoor games and arts & crafts.
• Drive a 15-passenger van to local schools up to 5 hours per week and return safely to Samena.
• Aid in development and implementation of new, fun and educational activities.
• Nurture and build strong relationships with each child.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment and comply with licensing standards.
• Assist with programs and events, such as Non-School Day Camp and Kids Night Out.
• Handle minor conflicts using appropriate behavior management techniques.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and uphold Samena policies.
