Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Oakside Elementary School in Peekskill, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. Part-time, non-exempt positions with morning and/or afternoon sessions.

Work to facilitate activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, supervise children ages 5–12, maintain safety, and communicate with families. Hours follow the school calendar; programs run 7:00-9:00 and 2:45-6:00, with potential for both sessions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
