Job summary

YMCA of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Part-time Child Care Assistant for before and after school programs in Montgomery County's Exit 4 Community. Shifts run Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 8:30am and 2:00pm to 6:00pm, with a base pay starting at $15 per hour depending on experience.

You will lead groups of 15–20 children, transform spaces for activities, and implement a YMCA-aligned curriculum while building strong relationships with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enthusiastic, organized and team-oriented with a passion for youth development.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and engage a group of 15–20 children in activities, inside and outside.
• Set up program spaces and maintain cleanliness.
• Help implement a quality curriculum aligned with YMCA guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with YMCA staff, school personnel, and families.
• Ensure site licensing and quality standards are maintained.
