Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Crothersville Elementary School in Crothersville, IN for the 2026–2027 school year. The position is part-time, non-exempt with morning and/or afternoon shifts following the school calendar.

You will facilitate activities for children ages 5–12, provide a safe, engaging environment, and work with families and teammates.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience working with kids preferred
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework)
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment and be a positive role model
• Observe state guidelines and program policies
• Support program operations (attendance, registration, staffing)
